The United States is a Land of Opportunity

America is a nation where anyone can pursue their own version of success. The U.S. remains the number one destination for immigrants looking for better security, jobs, education, healthcare, and among others. This is what the American Dream is all about. Here are a few reasons why moving to the U.S. is a wise decision if you want a better quality of life.

  1. Free Enterprise

It’s no wonder the U.S. is among the top countries in the world for entrepreneurship. The United States economy is and has always been a free enterprise system, meaning the people—not the government—operate and control the majority of the country’s resources. As shared in a report by the U.S. census bureau, between 2.5 million and 4.35 million new businesses were started in the U.S. each year from 2010 to 2020. A free market is conducive to entrepreneurship and personal success, meaning you too can join the millions with thriving businesses in the country.

2. Investment Opportunities

The U.S. has always provided investors with legal security, a guarantee of respect for rights, a transparent justice system, and a stable mixed economy that accounts for more than 20% of the world’s GDP. As a result, it is considered the most important economy in the world.
The government has treaty visas such as EB-5 or E-2 that are an available option to immigrants who wish to own a business or invest in the United States with the probability of being able to reside here.

3. A Melting Pot

Per the United Nations, the U.S. has the largest population of immigrants in the world with a total of 50.6 million living there as of 2020.

Historically a country that was colonized and grown by immigrants, the U.S. has long tradition of attracting foreigners. This holds true today, with countries like China, Mexico, and India generating the highest numbers of immigrants. These numbers have increased over the last decade, along with the country’s overall Diversity Index (DI), which stands at 61.1%. The DI refers to the probability that two citizens chosen at random will be of foreign, ethnic descent. Therefore, if you decide to migrate to this country, you can find people from your hometown so that you won’t feel too far away, without forgetting that you will be able to experience new cultures.

4. Education

Aside from top-ranked and globally acclaimed institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the U.S. offers a wide selection of public and private colleges and universities.

Educational attainment in the country is, not surprisingly, quite high and on the rise. The number of people completing bachelor’s degrees increased by over 7% in 2021. According to that same Census Bureau report, over 24.1 million obtained master’s degrees, and 4.7 million attained doctoral degrees, representing 50.2% and 54.5%, respectively.

If one of your children under 21 years dreams of studying at a U.S. institution, they can! All qualifying E-2 investors’ family members can accompany them to the U.S., work in the country, and attend its schools.
